Role Summary
We’re hiring a Structural Steel Project Manager to run awarded jobs through fabrication and installation by owning drawing control, submittals, coordination, and execution communication between GC/client, detailing, shop, and field. This role requires prior structural/structural steel experience and strong document-control discipline.
Required (Must Have)
Structural steel experience (fabrication and/or field installation workflow)
Bluebeam Revu proficiency (daily use: markups, revision management, clean PDF packs)
Strong organization and clear communication
Excel proficiency (trackers/logs, sorting, filters, basic formulas)
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
What you’ll do
Set up awarded jobs (job number, folders, job start packet)
Maintain drawing control (IFA vs AFC/AFF) and track revisions/ASIs
Manage submittals and the submittal register; route comments/redlines and drive closeout
Coordinate material status, deliveries, pickups, and job logistics
Create shippers for anything that moves; file signed receipts
Provide weekly job updates (schedule look-ahead, blockers, next steps)
Communicate clearly with shop leadership and management so jobs don’t drift
