About the Role
The Project Coordinator plays a key role in supporting projects from pre-construction through close-out. You’ll work closely with project managers, estimators, vendors, and general contractors to coordinate materials, prepare documentation, track costs, and ensure projects are set up for success.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys structure, problem-solving, and being deeply involved in the behind-the-scenes work that keeps construction projects running smoothly.
What You’ll Do
- Review and understand project scopes, plans, and specifications
- Research materials and installation guidelines to support accurate project execution
- Prepare and track submittal packages, including materials and shop drawings
- Coordinate with general contractors and architects to obtain approvals
- Collect and submit product samples and color selections as needed
- Complete material take-offs and labor breakdowns using PlanSwift
- Coordinate material procurement and delivery with distributors
- Create purchase orders and track material costs in company systems
- Build production binders for project managers
- Prepare and maintain job cost ledgers, reports, and dashboards
- Assist with estimating, change orders, and formal proposals
- Occasionally visit jobsites to review conditions and details
- Support overall project coordination and assist with additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field OR equivalent relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
- General construction experience (commercial preferred)
- Familiarity with construction materials, processes, and equipment
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Comfortable learning and using construction software and databases
- Positive attitude and team-first mindset
Other Requirements
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening and background check
- Willingness to occasionally travel to jobsites as needed
