We need someone with strong math skills and excellent communication skills to write proposals, cost estimates, and detailed takeoffs on our construction projects. Responsibilities: • Inquire with clients regarding the status of submitted proposal and budgets • Compute labor, construction materials, time, and product costs to estimate overall cost for construction projects • Examine specifications, blueprints, proposals, and construction documents to understand the project as a whole • Supply accurate and clear quantity takeoff information to provide a detailed list of materials and assess the total construction costs • Produce written proposals, cost estimates, budgets, and updates for clients and project managers • Place orders and create purchase orders for project materials • Collaborate with project managers and trades throughout the construction process • Participate in client consultations and proposal presentations Qualifications: • A Bachelors’ degree in construction management, civil engineering, accounting, or a related field is required • 3 years of experience in the construction industry - project estimating or construction management is necessary • Extensive experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and construction estimating software • Current Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) certification from the American Society of Professional Estimators (ASPE) is desired • Stellar communication, project management, and time-management skills are crucial • Proficiency with estimating software (Buildertrend and Chief Architect experience a plus) • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills • Strong communication skills for client and team interactions • Positive attitude Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000 yearly
