    Position Summary

    Matcon Construction Services is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Project Engineer to support

    project execution across our commercial construction divisions. This role is critical to

    maintaining schedule integrity, document control, cost awareness, and communication flow

    between field and office teams.

    The Project Engineer will work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure

    projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to Matcon’s quality standards. This role is

    designed as a growth track toward Project Management.

    Key Responsibilities

    Project Coordination & Documentation

    · Assist Project Manager in daily project oversight

    · Manage submittals, RFIs, and document control processes

    · Track and maintain drawing logs and revision updates

    · Coordinate subcontractor documentation and compliance

    · Maintain organized project files (digital and physical)

    · Prepare and distribute meeting agendas and meeting minutes

    · Track action items and follow-ups from OAC meetings

    Cost & Financial Support

    · Assist in budget tracking and cost reporting

    · Support change order pricing and documentation

    · Review subcontractor pay applications and lien releases

    · Assist with procurement and material tracking

    · Support monthly project financial reporting

    Field & Schedule Support

    · Coordinate with field leadership to ensure accurate communication flow

    · Assist in maintaining and updating project schedules

    · Conduct site visits to monitor progress and document milestones

    · Help identify and escalate potential delays or cost impacts

    Quality & Compliance

    · Assist with closeout documentation and turnover packages

    · Track inspections, permits, and required compliance items

    · Support safety documentation and reporting coordination

    Qualifications

    · Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred

    · 1–3 years of construction experience (internship experience considered)

    · Strong organizational and communication skills

    · Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

    · Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Procore or similar project management software

    preferred

    · Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks
