Job Summary
The Project Engineer – Mechanical will oversee mechanical equipment installation, commissioning, and maintenance for industrial ventilation, VOC treatment, dust extraction, and paint/lithium factory systems. This role bridges project planning, subcontractor coordination, mechanical design adaptation, and compliance with U.S. safety and environmental standards. The ideal candidate will be capable of supporting on-site installation and troubleshooting, and collaborating with HQ engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities
Coordinate project schedules, resources, and subcontractors for mechanical equipment installation and commissioning.
Oversee installation, commissioning, testing, and handover of mechanical systems.
Liaise with HQ engineering teams to adapt mechanical solutions to U.S. client needs.
Provide on-site mechanical support including equipment alignment, piping installation supervision, and troubleshooting.
Review and modify mechanical drawings, layouts, and BOMs as required.
Conduct equipment inspections, performance testing, and preventive maintenance.
Monitor project performance metrics and prepare status reports.
Ensure project documentation is complete, accurate, and delivered on time.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of work experience in mechanical engineering, project/operations engineering, or field service within industrial equipment, HVAC, dust collection, or manufacturing sectors.
Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and environmental compliance.
Hands-on experience in equipment installation, alignment, piping, and mechanical troubleshooting.
Proficiency in mechanical design and drafting software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and vendor management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Technical understanding of manufacturing processes, coating systems, or air handling systems is a strong plus.
Ability to travel within the U.S. and occasionally internationally.
