Project Engineer – Potomac Interceptor Program
Location
DC Water Clean Rivers Facility (CMF Building), Blue Plains
Hybrid: Minimum 3 days per week in the office
Experience
5–10 years of relevant engineering experience
Experience supporting municipal sewer, wastewater, underground utility, or rehabilitation projects
Licensure
Maryland or Virginia PE preferred
Ability to obtain reciprocity within six (6) months if not currently licensed
Key Responsibilities
Support the Project Manager in delivering large sewer rehabilitation projects.
Prepare and review engineering calculations, plans, specifications, and technical documents.
Coordinate design development and permitting activities.
Review contractor submittals, RFIs, change orders, and construction documentation.
Participate in design reviews and construction meetings.
Track project schedules, budgets, and action items.
Provide construction engineering support during project execution.
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and DC Water stakeholders.
Availability
Immediate or within 1–3 months
Compensation
Up to $77/hour, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
