    Job Summary

    The Project Engineer – Plant Setup will assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of new plant construction and commissioning activities. This associate-level position focuses on field engineering support, contractor coordination, and documentation management for facility setup, utilities, equipment installation, and system testing. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and familiar with energy or industrial project environments.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support site setup, construction tracking, and coordination of subcontractor activities
    • Assist with layout reviews, utility connections, and equipment installation oversight
    • Help maintain project schedules, material tracking logs, and daily site reporting
    • Review drawings, P&IDs, equipment specs, and installation requirements
    • Participate in punch list inspections and startup/commissioning activities
    • Ensure all work meets company standards, safety procedures, and permit requirements
    • Interface with project managers, vendors, and construction crews
    • Document field changes, redlines, and coordinate as-built drawing updates

    Qualifications

    • Associate degree in Construction Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field
    • 2–4 years of experience in construction, mechanical/electrical systems, or energy project setup
    • Ability to read engineering drawings, site plans, and technical specifications
    • Strong organizational skills and understanding of construction workflow
    • Familiarity with utility coordination, equipment foundations, conduit/rack installation
    • Proficient with Excel, Bluebeam, or project tracking software
    • Must have a valid driver's license and be able to work on active construction sites

    Preferred Certifications

    • OSHA 30 Certification
    • First Aid/CPR
    • NCCER, QA/QC, or Construction Supervision training a plus
