The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining mechanical systems across a variety of construction projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with all relevant codes and standards. What We Offer: • Competitive salary and benefits package • 401(k) • Health insurance • Life insurance • Vision insurance • Dental insurance • Paid time off • Paid holiday • Opportunities for advancement • Professional development and training opportunities • Supportive, team-focused work environment • Involvement in diverse and high-impact construction projects Responsibilities: • Design HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems for industrial construction projects. • Provide engineering design and technical support for industrial ammonia refrigeration systems, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and energy efficiency. • Prepare detailed engineering calculations, plans, and specifications. • Review contractor RFIs, submittals, and provide technical review of project documents. • Collaborate with client architects, civil engineers, electrical engineers, and project managers to deliver integrated solutions. • Coordinate directly with CAD technicians and field members to provide reliable design support. • Conduct site inspections and provide support throughout the construction phase. • Ensure all mechanical designs and installations meet applicable building codes and regulations. • Participate in project planning, budgeting, and scheduling activities. • This role supports sales in quoting, design development, and customer interactions. • Willingness to perform other duties as deemed necessary. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s degree preferred). • A Professional Engineer (PE) license is strongly preferred. • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in mechanical engineering within the construction industry. • Specific experience with ammonia refrigeration systems in industrial or cold storage environments is highly desired. • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and mechanical design software. • Solid understanding of building systems and construction processes. • Strong knowledge of mechanical codes and standards. • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Compensation: $90,000 - $110,000 yearly DOE
