    Job Description

    The Project Estimator provides sales and technical support by developing detailed scopes of work, researching and estimating aftermarket parts, recommending repair solutions, and identifying opportunities to upsell value-added services.

    Essential Functions Performed by the Position

    • Develop accurate cost estimates for fabricated and machined parts.
    • Create detailed repair work scopes and associated labor/material cost estimates.
    • Propose repair solutions and recommend value-added improvements.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to gather data for cost development.
    • Maintain and report on quote status regularly to ensure timely follow-up.

    Required Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
    • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in job shop manufacturing.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities ****

    • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
    • Operate CAD and CAM programs to develop machining estimates.
    • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, welding, assembly).
    • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and effective problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to develop and submit cost estimates and formal repair proposals.
    • Excellent time management and self-motivation in a fast-paced environment.
    • Capable of managing multiple projects with varying complexity simultaneously.
    • Strong analytical skills to evaluate customer specifications, designs, and maintenance requirements.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.); intermediate to advanced computer skills.
    • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
