Job Description: SOAZ – AZDOR Agency Support Division (ASD) is seeking an experienced Project Manager with strong expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies to lead cross-functional project teams on software implementation initiatives. This role primarily supports a multi-year, multi-phase COTS product implementation critical to managing $26B in annual tax revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead projects through the full lifecycle, ensuring on-time delivery within scope and budget.
Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies: sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
Collaborate across workstreams to identify and manage dependencies.
Coordinate vendor work, ensuring adherence to contracts and SLAs.
Maintain and track progress in Azure DevOps or similar tools (Jira, GitLab) for user stories, bugs, epics, and releases.
Develop and execute risk management plans.
Integrate organizational policies and security practices into project plans.
Support organizational change management (OCM) by communicating with stakeholders and preparing users for technology changes.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation including charters, schedules, RACI matrices, and post-mortem reviews.
Required Skills:
8+ years of project management experience, including 3+ years in Agile/Scrum environments.
Experience managing integration or data-focused projects.
Proficiency with Azure DevOps, Jira, or equivalent project tracking tools.
Experience managing external vendors, including performance tracking and issue resolution.
Preferred Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field.
Scrum Master Certification (CSM, PSM) required.
SAFe certification or PMP.
Experience in government, public sector, or regulated environments.
Experience on multi-phased COTS implementations.
