    Job Description

    AECOM’s Buildings + Places practice is actively seeking a Project Manager to support active and future projects for growing practice in Seatle, WA.

    AECOM is seeking an experienced Project Manager for the opportunity to be a part a management team for larger more complex projects and the potential to manage new and exciting projects in the future. The position includes working with interdisciplinary technical leads to coordinate the successful capture and execution of projects in design and construction.

    The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

    • Acting as a primary point of contact with a client

    • Preparing scope and fee proposals for multi-discipline projects. Soliciting and negotiating fee with third parties, subcontractors, and consultants

    • Managing and directing professional and technical staff to complete a wide variety of architectural and engineering projects.

    • Managing and coordinating internal resources and third parties/subcontractors for capture and execution of projects.

    • Acting as a primary point of contact for third parties, subcontractors, and consultant team members.

    • Ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget while meeting client expectations with high quality

    • Developing and monitoring a detailed project plan and schedule to track progress and identify shortfalls in a timely manner.

    • Managing change and exercising appropriate escalation to management as necessary.

    • Maintaining project documentation control.

    • Preparing, coordinating and facilitating project meetings. Preparing and maintaining the agenda and meeting minutes. Assigning and tracking action items

    • Delivering positive financial metrics including as sold profit, billings and collection management.

    • Internal reporting to AECOM leadership to demonstrate project performance

    • Manage client relationship and receive positive feedback in conjunction with achieving contractual performance and financial milestones across the lifespan of multiyear / multitask order contracts.

    • Oversight of project throughout the lifecycle of the project from identification to capture, execution, construction and closeout.

    • Management of and coordination of contracts, change orders, invoices, and general project administration. Work with Project Coordinators to maintain project compliance

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    • BA/BS in Engineering, Architecture, with 4+ years of relevant experience managing projects or demonstrated equivalency of professional experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 6+ years of related experience, and 2 years managing A/E projects

    • Experience managing A/E Design projects including Federal projects for clients such as DOD, NPS, or DOE

    • Leadership and communication skills necessary to coordinate multi-discipline teams

    • History of making decisions to drive successful project execution

    • Licensed PE or RA

    • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and coordinate with multiple stakeholders

    • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills

    • Superior communication, writing, editing, and reporting skills for a wide variety of audiences

    • Motivated, driven individual
