    Job Description

    AWP Safety is seeking a senior-level Project Manager – Business Transformation to serve as a critical extension of the Vice President of Transformation, accountable for planning, governing, and executing enterprise-wide business transformation initiatives. This role will lead the day-to-day orchestration of AWP’s largest and most complex business transformation programs --including cross functional coordination and collaboration--and the operating model, process, and organizational changes that follow.

    This position goes beyond traditional project management. The Project Manager will function as a transformation leader , translating executive strategy into executable roadmaps, aligning cross-functional leaders, managing enterprise risk and dependencies, and ensuring that transformation outcomes deliver measurable operational, financial, and customer impact.

    The role requires comfort operating at VP and executive levels , balancing strategic intent with rigorous execution, accountability, and change adoption across the organization.

    Reporting directly to the Vice President of Transformation , this role will:

    • Act as the primary owner of business transformation execution , accountable for progress, outcomes, and transparency.
    • Serve as a central point of coordination across Finance, Operations, Sales, IT, HR, and Field Leadership.
    • Provide executive-ready reporting , insights, and recommendations to senior leadership.
    • Influence priorities, sequencing, and resourcing decisions across multiple concurrent initiatives.
    • Escalate risks, tradeoffs, and decisions with clarity and data-driven recommendations.

    Key Responsibilities

    Business Transformation Program Leadership

    • Own and manage the enterprise master project plans , including multiple workstreams, interdependencies, and critical path milestones.
    • Translate strategic objectives into structured, executable workstreams with clear outcomes, KPIs, and success criteria.
    • Proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and change impacts; develop mitigation plans and executive decision frameworks.
    • Govern scope, budget, timeline, and quality across initiatives with enterprise-level rigor.

    Executive & Stakeholder Management

    • Partner closely with the Vice President of Transformation to prepare executive updates, board-ready materials, and decision briefs.
    • Facilitate alignment across senior leaders with competing priorities, ensuring accountability and commitment to outcomes.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor to functional leaders on transformation sequencing, readiness, and adoption.

    Business Process & Operating Model Transformation

    • Lead enterprise process optimization across end-to-end value streams.
    • Ensure redesigned processes are operationally sound, scalable, and measurable.
    • Drive alignment between process design, organizational structure, roles, and technology enablement.

    Technology Enablement & Adoption

    • Support enterprise projects and transformations , with a strong emphasis on adoption and business value realization.
    • Coordinate training, job aids, and enablement to support sustained behavioral change.

    Metrics, Outcomes & Continuous Improvement

    • Establish and report KPIs tied to operational efficiency, financial performance, and customer experience.
    • Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess ROI, adoption, and lessons learned.
    • Drive continuous improvement cycles beyond initial deployment.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Administration, or related field.
    • 10+ years of experience in enterprise project, program, or transformation management.
    • Demonstrated experience with large-scale ERP or enterprise system deployments.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project or comparable enterprise PM tools.
    • Proven ability to operate effectively with VP- and C-suite stakeholders.
    • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect execution to financial and operational outcomes.
    • Exceptional communication, influence, and organizational leadership skills.

    Preferred Experience

    • Experience in high-growth, multi-location, or operationally complex environments.
    • Prior work in private-equity-backed or transformation-heavy organizations.
    • PMP or comparable certification preferred.

    Additional Information

    WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    • The employee must be able to successfully handle the physical demands of this position, which include the following:
    • Hours of operation are M-F, 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.
    • 40-hour work week Primarily sedentary or working at a desk
    • Occasionally lift and move 10 -25 pounds
    • While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear
    • Proficient literacy
    • The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, or reach with hands and arms
