  • Responsibilities

    Butterfly Staffing is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead design-build and bid-build projects under federal government contracts. This role involves oversight from preconstruction through closeout, with a focus on quality, safety, and compliance with government specifications (e.g., EM 385-1-1, FAR, DFARS). The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, technical knowledge, and the ability to manage subcontractors and stakeholders in a fast-paced, federally regulated environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for all project activities, ensuring compliance with federal contract requirements.
    • Manage project execution from award through closeout, including scheduling, budgeting, quality assurance, and safety oversight.
    • Lead all phases of construction, including pre-construction planning, subcontractor coordination, procurement, and change management.
    • Interface with federal stakeholders including USACE, NAVFAC, GSA, and other contracting authorities.
    • Prepare and maintain project documentation such as RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and progress reports.
    • Ensure adherence to the project schedule and budget using tools like P6, MS Project, or equivalent.
    • Support QC and safety programs per government specifications (EM 385-1-1, QCS/RMS).
    • Lead weekly progress meetings with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • U.S. Citizen (Required for federal contract eligibility)
    • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
    • 10+ years of construction project management experience; at least 5 years on federal government projects
    • Strong understanding of firm-fixed-price, IDIQ, and design-build contracts
    • Familiarity with FAR/DFARS, EM 385-1-1, and government QA/QC protocols
    • Software proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, RMS/QCS, or equivalent
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and subcontractor management skills

    Preferred Certifications

    • Certified Construction Manager (CCM) – CMAA

    Additional Requirements

    • Ability to travel to project sites as needed
    • OSHA 30 certification strongly preferred

     

  • Compensation
    $110,000 per year
