  • Responsibilities

    Wright Technical Services is supporting a client in the advanced materials space in search of an experienced Project Manager on a multi year contract to oversee manufacturing activities, including capital projects, site consolidations, and equipment moves.

     

    Responsibilities:

     

    • Develop comprehensive project plans covering scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and budgets.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams for successful project execution.
    • Monitor and adjust project progress to ensure on-time completion.
    • Manage capital projects from inception to completion, adhering to budget and schedule.
    • Oversee procurement and installation of new equipment and technology.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
    • Plan and execute site consolidation projects, including relocating operations and staff.
    • Develop strategies to minimize disruption and ensure operational continuity.
    • Coordinate with stakeholders for smooth transitions.
    • Plan and manage the relocation of manufacturing equipment.
    • Ensure proper decommissioning, transportation, and reinstallation of equipment.
    • Work with vendors and contractors to ensure timely equipment moves.
    • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
    • Maintain regular updates with stakeholders on project status, risks, and issues.
    • Facilitate meetings and presentations to keep stakeholders engaged.
    • Address and resolve concerns raised by stakeholders.
    • Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans and reports.
    • Prepare regular status reports for senior management.
    • Archive all project documentation upon completion.

     

    Qualifications:

     

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, or a related field.
    • PMP certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
    • 8+ years of project management experience in the manufacturing industry.
    • Proven experience managing capital projects, site consolidations, and equipment moves.
    • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, construction methodologies, and safety regulations.
    • Proficiency in interpreting technical documents and project blueprints.
    • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects.
    • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and MS Office Suite.
    • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
    • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
    • Experience in a contract or consulting capacity.
