The Opportunity We’re looking for a Project Manager to own project delivery end-to-end and lead the engineers and designers who make it happen. You’ll hold the client relationship, carry accountability for scope, schedule, budget, and profitability, and mentor the next generation of our technical team. If you want to help build something, not just work inside it, this is the opportunity. Who Thrives Here You have outgrown being purely technical, and you are ready to lead. You are a licensed P.E. who has managed projects and mentored the people delivering them, and you want to own outcomes — the client, the schedule, the budget, the quality — at a higher level. You are energized by joining a firm at a pivotal growth stage, where your decisions carry weight, your leadership shapes the culture, and your trajectory is genuinely tied to the firm's success, with a real path to senior leadership. You don't need hand-holding; you don't wait to be told what to do, and you treat every project like your name is on it — because in this role, it will be. Responsibilities: Own delivery of multiple concurrent civil/structural projects from proposal through closeout Serve as the primary client contact and steward of the client relationship Manage scope, schedule, budget, and profitability, and report performance to leadership Lead and mentor project engineers, E.I.T.s, and CAD designers toward licensure and advancement Provide QA/QC oversight and technical direction; serve as or coordinate the engineer-of-record Contribute to proposals, scopes, and fee structures, and support business development Forecast workload and coordinate resourcing across the team Qualifications: REQUIRED Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Missouri 5+ years of progressive civil engineering experience Demonstrated track record of managing engineering projects and client relationships Experience leading and mentoring engineering staff Strong proficiency in Civil 3D and/or AutoCAD Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, and in client-facing settings PREFERRED Multi-state P.E. licensure (IL, CO preferred) or willingness to obtain Experience in site development, land development, grading, drainage, and stormwater management Background in both private development and public/municipal project work Familiarity with Missouri and regional permitting processes Experience in a small or boutique engineering firm environment Demonstrated interest in firm leadership, business development, or ownership Compensation: $95,000 - $130,000
