Project Manager – Commercial Construction – Base Salary to 160k/year – Fauquier County, VA

Our client is a commercial general contractor seeking a Project Manager to manage ground-up commercial and institutional construction projects from preconstruction through project closeout.

This position requires 5+ years of project management experience in ground-up commercial construction, experience working for a general contractor, and Microsoft Excel proficiency. Responsibilities include managing concurrent projects, construction schedules, budgets, change orders, and coordination with clients and subcontractors.

The position requires full-time availability to work from the company’s office in Fauquier County, Virginia, with frequent project site visits throughout the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia region.

Responsibilities:

• Review construction drawings, blueprints, specifications, contracts, and related project documents
  
• Coordinate with the estimating team during bidding and preconstruction
  
• Manage multiple concurrent commercial and institutional construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
  
• Develop and maintain project plans, construction schedules, budgets, and coordination activities
  
• Evaluate the cost and schedule impacts of drawing revisions, scope changes, and change orders
  
• Coordinate subcontractors, clients, site personnel, and internal project teams throughout construction
  
• Monitor project progress, costs, and quality requirements and coordinate corrective actions when needed
  
• Maintain client and subcontractor relationships through project meetings, updates, and construction coordination
  
• Conduct frequent site visits throughout the assigned region
  Work primarily from the company office, with jobsite travel as required

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of project management experience in ground-up commercial construction
• Experience working for a general contractor managing construction projects
• Availability to work full time from the company office in Fauquier County, Virginia, with regional site visits
  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  
• Experience reading, analyzing, and interpreting construction plans, specifications, scopes of work, and schedules
  
• Experience managing client and subcontractor relationships
  
• Ability to obtain security clearance and pass a driving record check

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 110 - 160k/year range, dependent on experience
