We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Restoration Project Manager (Mitigation & Reconstruction) to lead and coordinate both emergency response and full rebuild projects. We are offering salary with commission for this position you are applying for. In this critical role, you will oversee mitigation efforts related to water, fire, biohazard, mold, and storm damage, as well as manage reconstruction projects from demolition through final build-back. Your leadership will guide field teams, maintain strong client and insurance relationships, and ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This position offers the opportunity to manage projects from initial loss through full restoration, making a meaningful impact during critical times.

    Duties

Manage the full lifecycle of restoration projects, including mitigation, demolition, and reconstruction from initial inspection through final completion.

Conduct on-site assessments for water, fire, mold, and storm damage; develop detailed scopes of work for both mitigation and reconstruction phases.

Prepare accurate estimates and budgets using industry tools such as Xactimate for mitigation and rebuild services.

Coordinate and supervise mitigation crews, construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely and high-quality project execution.

Oversee reconstruction activities including framing, drywall, flooring, painting, and finish work to ensure compliance with building codes and project specifications.

Communicate effectively with property owners, insurance adjusters, and third-party administrators to ensure alignment throughout all project phases.

Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure profitability and efficiency across both mitigation and reconstruction.

Handle change orders, supplements, and unforeseen conditions while maintaining clear documentation and communication.

Ensure compliance with safety standards, local building codes, and industry regulations, including OSHA and Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) guidelines.

Perform and review moisture documentation, drying logs, and mitigation reports to ensure proper completion before reconstruction begins.

Coordinate permitting, inspections, and approvals required for reconstruction work.

Conduct final walkthroughs with clients to ensure satisfaction and successful project closeout.

Resolve project challenges through proactive problem-solving and effective team leadership in fast-paced environments.

    Skills

Proven experience in both restoration mitigation and reconstruction project management.

Strong knowledge of water, fire, mold remediation, and residential/commercial construction practices.

Proficiency in estimating and documentation tools such as Xactimate or similar platforms.

Strong leadership and supervisory skills with experience managing field technicians, trades, and subcontractors.

Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Solid understanding of building materials, construction methods, and drying techniques.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients, insurance adjusters, and internal teams.

Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, especially with insurance scopes and supplements.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and restoration scopes.

Detail-oriented with strong documentation and reporting capabilities.

Valid driver’s license and ability to respond to emergency service calls as needed.

    Preferred Qualifications

IICRC certifications such as WRT (Water Restoration Technician) AMRT (Applied Microbial Remediation Technician).

Construction management or general contracting experience.

Experience working with insurance carriers, claims processes, and supplementing.

Familiarity with permitting processes and local building regulations.
