    About the Opportunity: RFP Response Team

    Orr Partners LLC is currently responding to a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the development of a large aircraft manufacturing facility in Greensboro, NC. We are identifying and selecting top-tier Project Management talent to include as "Key Personnel" in our official response.

    • Professional Resume: Highlighting relevant experience in industrial/manufacturing construction.

    • Manufacturing Project Portfolio: A detailed list or portfolio of specific manufacturing projects you have delivered (experience with vehicle/aircraft manufacturing is a plus).

    • Professional Headshot/Picture: To be included in the organizational chart and bio section of the proposal. You also give Orr Partners permission to edit your headshot to align it with the other team members in the proposal response.

    • Letter of Commitment: A signed statement confirming your intent and availability to serve on this project team should Orr Partners be awarded the contract.

    About the Role

    In these positions, you will serve as a lead or support lead (depending on level), overseeing the full lifecycle of the project. The scope of work is comprehensive, covering design, permitting, and construction, and will require the planning and integration of tooling and equipment specific to aircraft manufacturing.

    You will act as the primary link between the client, the design team, and the general contractor, ensuring vital information exchange and inspiring project teams to achieve objectives. You will apply your expertise to mitigate risk, control costs, and ensure quality in a fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Project Leadership & Technical Integration

    • Lead and motivate project teams (Architects, Engineers, Contractors, Consultants) to achieve project goals.

    • Manage the integration of complex manufacturing processes, including planning and installing aircraft tooling and industrial equipment.

    • Serve as the primary client contact, managing expectations and ensuring the project aligns with their operational needs.

    • Cultivate strong working relationships with peers and external partners involved in the project.

    Financial & Contract Management

    • Create, maintain, and manage comprehensive project budgets.

    • Assist in developing and assembling procurement documents such as RFPs, RFQs, contracts, and exhibits.

    • Review and approve invoices, pay applications, and change orders.

    Schedule & Documentation

    • Support the development and maintenance of master project schedules, ensuring integration between base building construction and equipment installation.

    • Prepare and distribute detailed weekly reports, including meeting minutes and task lists.

    • Document project progress through regular site photography and field reports.

    • Establish and maintain organized electronic project files.

    Operations

    • Undertake necessary travel to project sites, government offices, and consultant meetings within the Greensboro area.

    • Proactively seek guidance (Assistant PMs) or provide mentorship (Senior PMs) to facilitate professional development.

    Qualifications

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, or a related field.

    • Experience:

      • Assistant Project Manager: 1–3 years of relevant experience.

      • Project Manager: 3–7 years of experience leading construction projects.

      • Senior Project Manager: 7+ years of experience leading complex construction or development projects.

    • Sector Expertise: Experience with the construction and turn-key delivery of vehicle manufacturing facilities is considered a significant plus.

    • Technical: Demonstrated familiarity with Project Management methodologies and software.

    • Communication: Exhibits strong, positive energy and excellent communication skills.

    • Experience working with a general contractor, engineering firm, or architecture firm.

    • Strong people management and negotiation experience.

    Preferred Skills & Certifications

    • Understanding of the entitlement and permitting processes in Greensboro and North Carolina jurisdictions.
    • Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification (preferred).
    • OSHA training (10 or 30 hours).
