    Job Description

    AECOM is seeking a Project Manager I the Orange, CA office.

    • Manages one or more less complex projects, involving a combination of the following:
    • Clients with a small or local geographic footprint; OR,
    • Projects involving limited services provided by a local IE office; OR,
    • Other complexities, on a limited basis, such as projects that involve litigation, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), due diligence, etc.
    • May manage certain phases of projects only.
    • Generally working under the supervision of a Project Manager/Program Manager or above, or a Regional Manager.
    • Within individual's area of responsibility, consistently identifies potential project problems or opportunities in a proactive manner, analyzes the issues using all appropriate resources, develops alternatives and arrives at the most optimum approach to mitigate problems or exploit opportunities.
    • Makes sound, well-informed and objective decisions relating to assigned project with a strong understanding of the impact and implications of decisions.
    • Manages project resources.• Assigned to a field bond construction program in a general or single discipline position. Assist in overseeing activities of design and construction
    • Receives supervision and direction in the performance of assigned responsibility.
    • Receives technical and operational direction from the assigned Project Manager.
    • Assists with the planning and coordination of consultant and contractor activities within the area of responsibility.
    • Enforces policies, procedures and related work rules as established by Program and District Management.
    • Prepares reports, as required, and keeps supervisors informed on progress of overall assigned activities.
    • Under guidance of Project Manager, monitors work performance of consultants to ensure project plans and schedules are followed.
    • This includes, but is not limited to, reviewing construction schedules, budgets, manning charts, etc...
    • Ensures compliance with all internal and external record keeping requirements
    • Uses current construction management system to perform record-keeping tasks including, composing maintaining project logs and retrieving RFIs, submittal logs and agreements.
    • Provides assistance to contractors and construction manager in scheduling issues.
    • Interfaces with client, architect and design professionals to ensure compliance to design intent and client satisfaction.• Writes meeting minutes and coordinates action items to keep project teams on task
    • Contribute to building good communications between field management, project management, estimating, procurement, suppliers, vendors, and specialty contractors to ensure construction complies with plans, specifications and company quality standards and that the project is completed on time and within budget.
    • Responsible for continuously expanding and updating professional knowledge and honing training skills in order to enhance individual and team innovation

    Minimum Experience:

    • BA/BS + None or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

    Preferred Experience:

    • 2 years of construction experience
