    Senior Project Manager (General Contractor) – Commercial & Multifamily

    A long-established South Florida GC (nearly 60 years) is hiring a Senior Project Manager to manage the full estimating process from preconstruction activities to all estimating (conceptual budgeting to final bid submission). Family-founded and now a $25M General Contractor, the company is entering a major growth phase through an exclusive developer partnership expected to scale volume toward $100M with a committed pipeline. This role offers strong upward mobility, high visibility with leadership, and meaningful ownership of project outcomes.

    Compensation & Benefits

    • $130,000 – $180,000 base salary (depending on experience)

    What You’ll Do (Core Responsibilities)

    • Communicate with owners/clients, architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors to define objectives, timelines, and deliverables
    • Build, maintain, and drive detailed project schedules; align sequencing with field operations and adjust as needed
    • Interpret plans/specs, determine scope, and manage RFIs, submittals, and clarifications
    • Conduct quantity take-offs and support cost control and budget management
    • Lead and run OAC meetings; track action items and keep all stakeholders aligned
    • Evaluate and recommend subcontractors based on scope, qualifications, experience, and budget
    • Lead procurement of materials/finishes (as applicable), verify compliance with plans/specs, and manage lead times
    • Perform jobsite visits to meet clients/subs, resolve discrepancies, and document additional scope for approval
    • Identify project risks and proactively resolve issues impacting schedule, cost, safety, or quality
    • Manage billing progress via Schedule of Values (SOV); coordinate with Superintendents for subcontractor progress payments
    • Coordinate permits, inspections, and code/compliance requirements in a timely manner
    • Manage construction documentation including contracts, permits, drawings, change orders, logs, and closeout packages
    • Support and enforce jobsite safety expectations and regulatory compliance
    • Drive quality control standards and maximize customer satisfaction through closeout and handover

    Required Qualifications (We Will Screen for These)

    • Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager (or similar role) on commercial and/or multifamily projects
    • Strong knowledge of construction means/methods, regulations, building codes, and industry best practices
    • Ability to read and interpret technical documents: plans, specs, contracts, RFIs, submittals, and schedules
    • Experience with quantity take-offs, cost control, and budget management
    • Strong project management skills: planning, organization, time management, and stakeholder coordination
    • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) with strong written and verbal communication in both languages
    • Proficiency with PM tools/software (Microsoft Office; Project, Procore, Fieldwire, Autodesk Build, or similar)
    • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required
    • Able to work on-site and perform regular field visits in active jobsite conditions (varied weather, uneven terrain, stairs/ladders as needed, fast-paced deadlines)

     

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering, or related field (preferred)
    • Experience managing ground-up commercial/multifamily and complex renovation projects
    • Experience with client-facing reporting, change order negotiation, and closeout execution at scale
