Job Description:
Dow Jones is seeking a Project Manager, Multimedia to help support the delivery of flagship media projects for the New Business Ventures team. This position sits in the Audio Video media group and will focus on managing projects with our internal stakeholders (Newsroom, Product, Ad Sales, Membership, Partnerships and other Dow Jones teams) and external partners to successfully deliver and launch media content across various digital platforms. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in project management and operations, excellent communication skills, media knowledge, and proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple obligations and competing priorities.
Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of cross-functional projects
Monitor and report on project progress to stakeholders
Create and maintain project plans with interdependencies and a defined critical path
Create and maintain resource plans ensuring effective resource allocation and distribution across portfolio of projects
Utilize project management tools and techniques to improve execution and drive efficiencies
Proactively manage changes in project scope
Effectively create and execute risk management plans
Manage the quality and timely execution of deliverables across projects
Ensure profitable and successful execution of all assigned engagements as measured by KPIs and OKRs
Support strategic and executive presentations/updates (deck creation)
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years in project management or similar role
Demonstrated experience working with project management methodologies and tracking multiple project timelines
Excellent documentation skills, attention to detail, and problem solving
Demonstrated communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
Experience with using the G-Suite projects (Gmail, Google Slides, Google Sheets, Google Docs, etc.)
Proficiency with project management tools (SmartSheet, Lucidchart, JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
3 years in project management or similar role
Experience working in the media industry
Experience with audio and video
1 or more years experience working at a consulting firm or similar client facing environment
