    We are seeking a Project Manager II – Other Languages to manage USCIS task orders while also providing linguistic support in one or more non-Spanish languages (priority: Arabic, Mandarin, Russian, Haitian Creole, French, and rare languages such as Dari, Pashto, Tigrinya, Somali). This hybrid position combines project management with linguistic expertise to strengthen service delivery.

    Responsibilities

    Manage assigned task orders (OPI, VRI, ASL, document translation) across multiple languages.

    Coordinate linguist assignments, monitor schedules, and ensure compliance with USCIS timelines.

    Provide direct interpreting/translation support in one or more high-demand or rare languages.

    Support recruitment and onboarding of linguists for critical-need languages.

    Collaborate with the ASL Program Manager, Scheduling Coordinators, and CORs to ensure coverage.

    Track performance metrics, maintain USCIS-compliant records, and contribute to quality audits.

    Serve as a cultural and linguistic resource for assigned language(s).

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation, Project Management, or related field (preferred).

    Fluency in English and at least one additional language (Arabic, Mandarin, Russian, Haitian Creole, French, or rare languages highly valued).

    2+ years of project coordination/management experience (government/federal contracting a plus).

    2+ years of professional interpreting or translation experience in the target language(s).

    Knowledge of interpreter ethics, USCIS/DHS standards, and ISO quality frameworks.

    Strong organizational, reporting, and communication skills.

    Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 clearance.
