Key Responsibilities
Release Planning & Execution
- Lead end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly technology releases.
- Develop and maintain release calendars, implementation schedules, and deployment plans across multiple projects and technology platforms.
- Facilitate release readiness reviews, go/no-go decisions, change approvals, and post-release validations.
- Ensure releases are completed on schedule, within scope, and with minimal disruption to production environments.
- Manage release dependencies, risks, rollback plans, and contingency strategies.
Project Management
- Drive project execution from initiation through implementation and post-production support.
- Define project scope, milestones, resource requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
- Track progress against project plans and provide regular status reporting to leadership and stakeholders.
- Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and bottlenecks.
- Coordinate multiple concurrent initiatives in a fast-paced banking technology environment.
Stakeholder Management
- Partner closely with software engineering, DevOps, infrastructure, architecture, cloud engineering, cybersecurity, testing, and business teams.
- Facilitate discussions between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Communicate release impacts, timelines, dependencies, and risks to senior leadership and affected business units.
- Foster strong working relationships across cross-functional teams.
Cloud & Technology Oversight
- Demonstrate strong awareness of cloud technologies and cloud-based delivery models, including public and hybrid-cloud environments.
- Collaborate with cloud engineering teams to support deployment strategies, platform modernization efforts, and cloud migration initiatives.
- Understand cloud operational considerations, including scalability, resilience, monitoring, security, and service management.
- Support release activities involving cloud-native applications, APIs, containerized services, and automated deployment pipelines.
