    Job Description

    AECOM Is seeking a Project Manager for a New York City public client. The position will require strong construction management experience in the construction of elevated road structure.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Directs and manages the entire project, provides guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, and serves as a primary liaison between AECOM and client interface.
    • Accountable for ensuring all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
    • Overall responsibility and management of project including but not limited to budgeting/schedule stage, procurement, through contract closeout.
    • Position has primary fiscal responsibility and key liaison between client for assigned project.
    • Conducts regular project status meetings and prepares comprehensive reports for senior management and stakeholders.
    • Negotiates contracts with vendors, subcontractors, and other external partners to ensure optimal project outcomes.
    • Implements and oversees change management processes to address scope modifications and unforeseen challenges.
    • Ensures compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Develops and implements risk management strategies to mitigate potential issues in elevated road structure projects.
    • Coordinates with various departments, including engineering, procurement, and quality control, to ensure seamless project execution.
    • Oversees the development and implementation of site-specific safety plans for elevated road structure construction.
    • Manages relationships with local authorities and stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulations and maintain positive community relations.
    • Utilizes advanced project management software and tools to optimize resource allocation and track project progress.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    • BA/BS plus ten years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

    Preferred Requirements:

    • Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and project tracking systems such as e-builder or Primavera P6
    • Excellent interpersonal communications and collaboration skills, comfortable engaging with residents in a multi-cultural environment, and with tenant and development management, elected representatives, and other stakeholders
    • NYC Agency preferred
