    SG2 Recruiting is partnering with Avum to hire a Project Manager and Analyst to support Government customers and the Avum development team. This role bridges the gap between customer needs and the development team's execution, ensuring seamless project progression and high-quality deliverables.

    What You'll Be Doing:

    • Serve as the central point of contact (POC) for all customer interactions, including managing status updates, arranging presentations and demonstrations, scheduling meetings, and directing inquiries appropriately.

    • Conduct functional analysis of customer business systems, rapidly learning new applications and associated business processes to document and communicate system gaps against customer requirements effectively.

    • Guide the development team on user interface (UI) design and system functionality, ensuring the customer's perspective is accurately represented.

    • Address customer inquiries regarding systems/applications, research open requests, and liaise with external contacts to obtain necessary information.

    • Coordinate with external system POCs to establish interfaces and facilitate issue resolution.

    • Manage the product backlog and oversee development assignments, translating customer requirements into clear, actionable tasks for the development team.

    • Act as Project Manager for daily stand-ups and other Scrum ceremonies, including updating tasks and proactively removing impediments for the team.

    • Participate actively in customer Scrum events, providing status updates on development team progress and conveying feedback and requests to the team.

    • Develop and generate comprehensive internal and customer-requested documentation, such as user guides, system requirements/details, white papers, and business process descriptions, and support all other general writing activities.

    • Coordinate with customers to receive product releases and manage Change Control Board (CCB) procedures.

    • Liaise with the user community, handling tasks such as onboarding new users, setting up accounts, providing instructions, troubleshooting login issues, escalating connection problems, and managing help desk requests.

    • Manage, document, and participate in various user events, including training sessions, testing/evaluation sessions, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and product review sessions.

    • Assist in application and system testing and Quality Assurance (QA) efforts, including validating production features and functionality against requirement documents and functional specifications.

    • Engage in QA planning and execution, including gathering requirements, preparing documentation, and creating test plans and cases for all testing phases.

    • Perform quality assurance testing for new and upgraded products and services by completing test cases.

    • Execute functional test cases/steps on new application features, perform bug/defect validation, confirm existing functionality and usability, and update documentation accordingly.

    • Write test plans derived from requirements, specifications, and test strategies.

    • Manage timesheets for the project team and compile monthly status reports for the customer.

    • Support the purchasing and renewal of contract-related products and services, and organize funding allocations across multiple contracts.

    • Actively pursue new business opportunities with federal, state, local, and commercial entities.

    • Managed and supported the creation of proposals and responses to solicitations for new contracts, coordinating with internal team members and external business partners.

    • Design graphics and charts for PowerPoint presentations and various documentation.

    • Perform e-Verify assessments for new employees.

    • Maintain company access forms, capability statements, team member resumes, and past performance write-ups.

    What You Will Need:

    • A Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university with a curriculum or major field of study that provides substantial valuable knowledge in system development and is closely related to the job duties (e.g., computer science, information systems, physical science, engineering, or a mathematics-intensive discipline), OR an applicable training certificate from an2 accredited training institution.

    • Previous experience as a Project Manager or Analyst.

    • Demonstrated ability to perform self-learning with moderate guidance from senior-level company leaders.

    • Solid organizational skills, with the ability to multitask effectively and support deadline-sensitive requirements.

    • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills.

    • Proven ability to interact professionally with colleagues at all corporate levels, team members, and representatives of external organizations.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

    • Capability to work effectively with engineering and analyst teams.

    • Strong ability to coordinate with government stakeholders.

    • Technical capability and aptitude to assist in application and system testing and QA efforts.

    • Must be a U.S. citizen.

    • Ability to pass a T3 background investigation.

    • The capability to participate in meetings virtually using tools like Microsoft Teams, as this is a fully remote role.

    • Online availability is available from 9 AM PST/PDT to 4 PM PST/PDT, Monday through Friday.

    • Availability to support EST core hours as needed.

    If You Have This, It's A Plus:

    • Experience in Agile Scrum and DevSecOps methodologies, including leading engineering teams in development iterations (Sprints) involving daily meetings (Scrums), managing a prioritized task backlog, and conducting government stakeholder review sessions.

    Location:

    The candidate will interact and coordinate with external project team members and other Avum employees remotely. As a remote employee, the candidate will not have a permanent office or desk space but may be required to attend in-person meetings. This may require travel to government sites in Washington, D.C., and the Avum office in Agoura Hills, California. Our priority is acquiring the most qualified candidate to satisfactorily perform the required tasks, including team collaboration, regardless of the candidate's geographical location.

    NOTE: This fully remote role requires the candidate to participate in meetings virtually using tools like Microsoft Teams. Online availability during the core hours of 9 AM PST/PDT to 4 PM PST/PDT, Monday through Friday, will be required, with availability to support EST core hours as needed.
