    Job Summary: Barnhart is seeking a Project Planner to develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules that support logistics, rigging, and the final setting of pharmaceutical components at our Lebanon, Indiana project site. This role requires strong scheduling expertise and the ability to translate complex field activities - such as crane operations, onsite transport, millwright/ironworker work, and logistics sequencing - into a fully integrated schedule. The Project Planner will work closely with Barnhart's project management team, field supervisors, and client representatives to ensure predictable, successful outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop detailed project work plans covering logistics, heavy lift planning, onsite transport, and final setting activities, with a focus on safe execution.
    • Integrate Barnhart's lift plans and field sequences into the master project schedule.
    • Prepare weekly and monthly look-ahead schedules to support field execution.
    • Track progress against baseline schedules, updating activity completion, durations, and logic ties.
    • Monitor final set progress and transfer of custody to the customer.
    • Perform variance analysis and identify schedule risks.
    • Recommend recovery plans and resequencing strategies when delays occur.
    • Collaborate with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, and Safety Managers to align schedules with actual field conditions.
    • Interface with the customer's project team to meet reporting and update requirements.
    • Participate in planning meetings and schedule review sessions.
    • Generate progress reports, milestone charts, and critical path analyses for leadership and client review.
    • Maintain change logs and document schedule impacts due to changes or unforeseen conditions.
    • Support project close-out with final as-built schedules.

    Required Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of experience in project scheduling within industrial construction or heavy rigging/millwright environments.
    • Proficiency in Primavera P6.
    • Strong understanding of crane operations, rigging sequences, and equipment setting workflows.
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and construction documents.
    • Excellent analytical and communication skills for reporting schedule status to stakeholders.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in pharmaceutical projects.
    • Familiarity with engineered lift and logistics processes.
    • PMP, PSP, or similar project controls certification.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Must be capable of working in outdoor environments and industrial construction settings
    • Ability to walk the site, climb scaffolding or ladders as needed.
