At Farmington Building Supply, our Project Sales Associates get to work on everything from dream-home builds to kitchen remodels and backyard upgrades. You’ll be part of the process as these projects take shape—helping customers make smart decisions, guiding them through product options, and seeing their vision come to life.

    About the Role: This position involves working directly with homeowners, contractors, and DIYers to select the right materials, assemble material lists, and provide cost estimates. You’ll also visit job sites and customer homes to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently. It’s a rewarding, hands-on role in a fast-paced and supportive environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Work one-on-one with customers to understand their project goals

    Recommend appropriate building materials and home improvement products

    Create material takeoffs and provide clear, accurate pricing estimates

    Deliver exceptional service throughout all phases of the project

    Visit job sites and customer homes to assess project requirements or provide support

    Collaborate with vendors and team members to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment

    Stay current on industry trends, products, and building practices

    Qualifications:

    Experience in project sales, construction, or home improvement preferred

    Working knowledge of building materials and construction processes

    Outstanding customer service skills and a professional attitude

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks

    Comfortable using point-of-sale and estimating software (training provided)

    Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally to job sites and customer homes

    Goals for This Position:

    Boost overall sales by confidently guiding customers to final purchasing decisions

    Expand knowledge of all store departments and product categories

    Become a versatile team member able to assist in other areas as needed

    Take personal interest in store products and provide recommendations for new items or merchandising strategies

    With experience, become a mentor to new employees and help them understand products, procedures, and retail concepts
