The Project Superintendent is responsible for managing roofing projects from pre-start through final punch-out. This role focuses on jobsite execution, subcontractor coordination, scheduling, quality control, and communication. The owner handles estimating, drawings, and complex technical problem-solving. The Superintendent’s responsibility is to execute the plan, keep jobs moving, and ensure projects are completed safely, cleanly, and professionally. This role typically manages 10–20 active custom roofing projects at any given time. Responsibilities: Project Management • Manage assigned roofing projects from award through completion • Coordinate job start dates, schedules, inspections, and closeout • Ensure projects move forward without delays or missed steps • Maintain job readiness (materials, crews, access, sequencing) Subcontractor Management • Coordinate roofing subcontractors (company crews or personal crews) • Schedule crews based on project readiness • Monitor daily progress and workmanship • Verify completed work before approval • Track subcontractor labor and submit weekly payroll sheets Quality Control • Ensure roofing systems are installed per plans and company standards • Identify issues early and address them before escalation • Perform thorough punch-outs prior to inspections • Maintain clean, professional jobsites Communication & Customer Service • Serve as primary field contact for builders and homeowners • Communicate professionally by phone, email, and in person • Provide clear updates on schedule, progress, and issues • Escalate design or technical questions to the owner as needed Administrative & Technology • Use a company-provided laptop (or personal if preferred) • Read and understand blueprints and roof plans • Send and respond to emails professionally • Upload job photos, notes, and updates • Submit payroll, reports, and job documentation on time Qualifications: • Construction industry experience (roofing preferred) • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously • Comfortable using a computer, email, and basic software • Ability to read blueprints and roof plans • Strong organization and follow-through • Professional communication and customer service skills • Clean driving record Compensation: $60,000 - $100,000
