  • Responsibilities

    We are looking for a Project Superintendent in the Farmington CT area. This candidate will oversee and directs all on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to quality and safety standards. Acts as the primary leader on-site, coordinating crews, subcontractors, and resources while maintaining strong relationships with clients, architects, and project teams.

    Pay $117,000-$140,000

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Schedule and supervise crews, equipment, and subcontractors for efficient project delivery.
    • Review plans/specs, identify potential issues, and collaborate with the Project Manager on solutions.
    • Ensure work meets quality standards and complies with contract documents.
    • Lead safety meetings, enforce safety regulations, and maintain documentation.
    • Oversee project start-up, layout, submittals, and weekly look-ahead schedules.
    • Conduct subcontractor/foreman meetings and manage daily site operations.
    • Maintain project records, punch lists, and close-out documentation.
    • Foster positive relationships with subcontractors, owners, and design teams.
    • Mentor junior staff and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

    Qualifications:

    • 2+ years' experience as a Lead Superintendent in commercial construction.
    • Proven ability to manage projects over $5M.
    • Experience in at least 2 of 8 markets (e.g., retail, healthcare, education, senior living).
    • Familiar with multiple structural systems (steel, concrete, wood, cold-formed metal).
    • Skilled in reading blueprints, scheduling, cost control, and site management.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
    • Proficient with MS Office and construction technology.
    • Willingness to travel as needed.
