    Job Summary

    The Assistant Property Manager will be working in St. Paul assisting the Portfolio Manager with the day-to-day operations of St. Paul properties. These properties provide integrated services to families with long-term homelessness, individuals with mental health challenges, and individuals with low-income. Our integrated service approach allows individuals and families to achieve their goals of self-sufficiency and housing stability. The individual in this role will be responsible for providing a safe, well-kept property for residents to live as they work towards these goals.

    For over 40 years, PPL has created housing and stabilized neighborhoods by working with nonprofit partners, neighborhood groups, and agencies to build or renovate nearly 2,000 affordable housing units. Today, PPL owns or manages a portfolio of more than 1,300 units of affordable or supportive housing throughout the Twin Cities metro area.

    Other responsibilities will include tasks and/or oversight in the following areas: 

    • Leasing & orientation of new residents
    • Rent and/or subsidy collection
    • Facilities management
    • Non-maintenance contracting
    • Site inspections
    • Financial reporting/budgeting

    Minimum Requirements

    • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. 
    • Strong problem solving ability.
    • Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle with current insurance and no more than three moving violations in the last three years as determined by our insurance carrier

    Minimum Technology Qualifications

    • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite applications

    Education and/or Experience

    • One to two years of experience in general customer service, property management, office support or another closely related field
    • Post-secondary education preferred but not required
    • Experience in Property Management a plus, but not necessary to apply
    • Or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job duties satisfactory
