    The Promontory Club, located just outside of Park City, Utah is seeking applications for a Construction Laborer/ Assistant Superintendent in Training.

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Construction Laborer/ Assistant Superintendent in Training’s responsibility includes assisting the Superintendent with the overall day-to-day supervision of field related construction activities for ongoing construction projects. Responsibilities include enforcement of site cleanliness and safety programs; cleaning up after sub-contractors and preparing work spaces for the next subcontractor(s) who will be beginning work; checking for quality and completion of work; and other duties as requested by superintendent or project manager. We are seeking someone eager to learn and grow with our company.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    Keeping all work areas clean and free of debris or potential safety hazards.

    Cleaning up after subcontractors have completed work and preparing an area for the next subcontractor to begin working.

    During winter months, snow removal of walkways and driveways to allow subcontractor’s work to continue unimpeded.

    Minimizing construction damage by maintaining a regular presence throughout the job sites and ensuring subcontractors are being mindful of the completed work.

    Assisting the superintendent by identifying potential construction flaws or problems and bringing them to the superintendent’s attention.

    Performing consistent quality-control checks throughout the construction process.

    Reorganizing/relocating building materials so the construction process can run smoothly with minimal loss of materials due to weather or damage.

    Thorough post-construction cleaning to prepare turnover of home to the clients which would include sweeping and mopping floors; vacuuming carpet; cleaning countertops, light fixtures, bathroom fixtures, appliances, railings, or any other finished products that have been installed in the home.

    Is goal oriented and can react quickly to challenging circumstances to achieve the desired end results;

    Is proactive, plans well and addresses problems promptly;

    Is committed to doing quality work the first time with little or no need for re-work;

    Is self-motivated and will seek out work without direction from a supervisor.

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE

    Recent college degree in construction management field seeking experience and growth is preferred.

    Entry level position with great potential for advancement.

    Proven written and verbal communication abilities.

    Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.

    Desire for advancement within the company.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS NECESSARY TO PERFORM THIS JOB

    Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction.

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

    Performing this job requires use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, sit, talk and hear, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

    Employee must occasionally lift and/or move heavy weight.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock.

    The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
