This area is tasked with supplying the operation with golf carts. The golf carts safety, cleanliness, and organization is the focus of this area;
Check with the outside supervisor for any unusual or special instructions, such as tire changes, battery checks, and cart rotation
Be in possession of the daily tee sheet and monitor for updates throughout the shift
Make sure all equipment; radio, cart, etc. are working correctly
Keep cart barn area neat and clean at all times
Bring out clean, stocked, and iced carts to the cart staging area
When a cart leaves the barn – 2 scoops of ice are put in cooler
Clean the carts that come off the course/range, this includes trash, water bottles, towels, dirt, cubbies, tires,
Carts must be restocked and ready for play. 2 water bottles, 2 sand bottles, 6 black logo tees, 2 clean folded green towels, yardage card, scorecard, sharp pencil.
Correctly park and charge carts once they are cleaned and restocked.
Assist other outside staff as needed
This area may perform additional duties as needed/required
This area is tasked with cleaning, organizing, and moving golf bags/sets. This includes the rentals sets located in the Club Repair office;
Check with the outside supervisor for any unusual or special instructions, such as events.
Be in possession of the daily tee sheet and monitor for updates throughout the shift
Keep bag room area neat and clean at all times
Bring out clean sets to staging area when called for
Clean clubs and organize rental sets that come off the course. Once cleaned put sets away into proper storage area or bag racks to be picked up.
Assist other outside staff as needed
This area is tasked with greeting golfers as they arrive and depart the golf course. You are the 1st and last impression of the golf operation and as such high energy and positive attitude are required. This area requires planning and proper organization;
Check with the outside supervisor for any unusual or special instructions such as event staging and shotguns.
Be in possession of the daily tee sheet and monitor for updates throughout the shift
Make sure all equipment; radio, cart, etc. are working correctly
Keep podium and cart staging area neat and organized
Bring out clean, stocked, and iced carts to the cart staging area
When a cart leaves the barn – 2 scoops of ice are put in cooler
Greet golfers as they arrive to drop off their bag, pick up their bag, make the turn, or finish their round/practice.
Assist golfers in directions to practice facility, golf shop, and locker room, #10 etc.
Ensure carts are staged properly. 2 water bottles, 2 sand bottles, 6 black logo tees, 2 clean folded green towels, yardage card, scorecard, sharp pencil.
Setup carts with correct sets of clubs/rentals
Write down and communicate to Starter cart #s and corresponding groups.
Assist in keeping the course and areas around the clubhouse clean, and call attention to golf shop of any maintenance issues needing addressing
Assist other outside staff as needed
This area is tasked with setting up, breaking down, and maintaining the practice facility throughout the day;
Check with the outside supervisor for any unusual or special instructions such as event staging and shotguns.
Be in possession of the daily tee sheet and monitor for updates throughout the shift
Make sure all equipment; radio, cart, etc. are working correctly
Keep the range tee neat and organized. Balls/tees/den caddy restocked and in line
Setup practice facility in morning
Restock practice facility during day
Pick range balls using picker or shag bags
Clean and sort range balls in ball washer
Breakdown practice facility at night
This area is tasked with directing the flow of traffic on the course, enforcing facility rules, assisting customers with course etiquette, alerting management to any golf course problems, promoting the facility and its events and assisting players with any on-course problems. Due to the nature of the position, the marshal must be pleasant, but firm at the same time;
Marshal should be on-time for shift and ready to work 5 minutes prior to shift starting
Be the on-course customer service specialist for the facility
Provide welcoming "first contact" with each customer or groups of customers and ensure they have an enjoyable experience
Check with the outside supervisor for any unusual or special instructions, such as cart paths only etc.
Be in possession of the daily tee sheet and monitor for updates throughout the shift
Make sure all equipment; radio, cart, etc. are working correctly
Accurate recordkeeping of the number of players daily
Communicate with the outside supervisor on a regular basis
Assist customers with any on-course problems – alert appropriate supervisor if necessary
Move around the course in reverse order, hole 18 back to hole 1
Keep work cart neat and clean at all times
Assist in keeping the course and areas around the clubhouse clean, and call attention to golf shop of any maintenance issues needing addressing
Keep player's on the pre-determined pace-of-play schedule and report any problems to the golf shop
Continually check in with the outside supervisor (25-30 minutes), even if there is nothing to report, for possible change of duties
Be prepared for inclement weather (air horn, rain gear, etc.), understand bad weather procedures and communicate with golf shop during weather alerts as necessary
Assist other outside staff as needed
This area is tasked with providing customers with service regarding tee times, tee time coordination, rules and policies and pace-of-play. This position is also responsible for assisting with accurate daily play totals and other duties as directed. Due to the nature of the position, the golf starter must be pleasant, but firm at the same time;
Operate the starter's cart in the highest professional manner
Assure the orderly flow of play in accordance with the posted tee times. Rotate players as needed to ensure the flow of play
Promote the facility programs, events and image to the customer s of the facility at all times
Provide welcoming "first contact" with each customer or groups of customers and ensure they have an enjoyable experience
Check with the Outside Supervisor for any unusual or special instructions, such as cart paths only etc.
Be in possession of the daily tee sheet and monitor for updates throughout the shift
Make sure all equipment; radio, cart, etc. are working correctly
Keep work area neat and clean at all times
Assist in keeping the course and areas around the clubhouse clean, and call attention to golf shop of any maintenance issues needing addressing

Post the conditions of play for the day
Assist customers with finding a game when necessary
Maintain an adequate supply of scorecards, pencils, tees, ball markers, etc. at the first tee and in other locations on the course as needed.

Physical Requirements Necessary to Perform This Job
Stand at the podium or work on the practice facility for extended time
Ability to lift 50 pounds. Ability to lift practice facility equipments. Ability to clean carts, lift golf bags, and move equipment
Able to drive golf course vehicles, carts, range picker, utility vehicles; requires a current driver's license, a clean driving record
Work Environment
The majority of duties will be performed on golf course property. This includes the Cart Barn, Bag Room, Podiums, Practice Facility, and on Golf Course.
