    Job Summary The position of Propane Service Technician is responsible for reviewing orders prior to delivery, loading and unloading product and equipment, performing propane tank installations, removals, and servicing, performing safety and leak checks, and timely propane delivery to customers on scheduled routes, while ensuring compliance with codes and safety policies and protocols, and providing exceptional customer service to our customers.

    Responsibilities

    · Operates and maintains service vehicle in accordance with company and government regulations.

    · Inspects, prepares, loads, unloads, and operates delivery vehicle

    · Accurately documents and maintains written logs, records, and reports, and delivers to the administrative office daily

    · Communicates with supervisor, dispatcher, or other office staff, and assists other drivers and/or technicians as needed

    · Operates crane to load tanks onto trucks, offload and move tanks at customer locations

    · Installs, removes, troubleshoots, services, inspects, and repairs tanks, equipment, and appliances

    · Install piping and tanks, final connection to pre-installed equipment, appliance installs, gas check inspections, maintenance cleaning, removal of old propane tanks

    · Runs lines, trenches, conducts tests, and identifies leaks

    · Attends to service calls for no heat, no hot water, etc.

    · Provides excellent customer service to all clients and potential clients and collects payments

    · Is flexible in performing job duties and assignments as needed

    · Periodically conducts inventory checks and reports

    · Abides by industry safety standards and regulations

    · May be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

    Qualifications · Class B Driver License Required; Class A Driver License Preferred

    · CETP certification preferred

    · Two (2) years driving experience

    · Must meet DOT requirements

    · Experience with crane, winch, and generator operations

    · One (1) year plumbing experience required

    · One (1) year experience working with propane required

    · Experience with safety and leak check process and equipment preferred

    · Satisfactory results from a pre-employment alcohol and drug screen
