We are looking for a full-time property accountant to join our expanding team! You'll be responsible for keeping our financial records organized for your portfolio of properties. You will oversee all accounting of certain properties from beginning to end, including issuing the monthly report packages for each property. Responsibilities: • Manage and maintain accurate financial records for your assigned portfolio of properties, ensuring all transactions are recorded promptly. • Prepare and issue comprehensive monthly financial report packages for each property, highlighting key insights and trends. • Collaborate with property managers to ensure financial data aligns with operational activities and objectives. • Collaborate with the accounts payable team, ensuring timely payments, collections, and contract compliance. • Conduct regular audits and reconciliations to verify the accuracy and integrity of financial data. • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, providing valuable input based on historical data and market trends. • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and company policies, keeping abreast of any changes in legislation or industry standards. • Complete other accounting tasks as needed. Qualifications: • Capable of using property management software, such as RealPage or equivalent. • Experience in property accounting or a related field, with a solid understanding of financial and real estate principles. • Ability to manage multiple property accounts simultaneously, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting. • Proven track record of collaborating effectively with property managers and accounts payable teams to align financial data with operational activities. • Experience in assisting with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts. • Knowledge of GAAP. • Accounting or finance degree required. Compensation: $60,000 - $80,000 yearly
