Property Accountant

Location: Dallas, TX
Salary Range: $70-100K (based on experience)

Overview

We are seeking a Property Accountant to manage accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of commercial properties. This role partners closely with property management to ensure accurate, timely financials.

Responsibilities

• Manage property-level accounting, general ledger, and month-end close
• Prepare monthly financial statements, variance reports, and reconciliations
• Review leases, rent rolls, tenant ledgers, and CAM reconciliations
• Prepare journal entries and maintain balance sheet accuracy
• Assist with budgets, construction draws, and job cost tracking
• Review AP, cash receipts, and ownership funding and distributions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of commercial property accounting experience
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred
• Knowledge of lease accounting and CAM reconciliations
• Experience with Yardi, MRI, or similar systems
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
