Salary: $70,000–$75,000 annually
A well-established commercial real estate organization is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable/Lease Administrator to support property management operations. This role is responsible for lease administration, tenant account management, rent collections, and maintaining accurate financial and lease records. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Abstract and maintain lease documents, amendments, and tenant records within property management software.
- Process daily cash receipts and manage monthly rent collections, including late fees, payment follow-up, and account resolution.
- Prepare and distribute tenant correspondence related to billing, payment instructions, and account updates.
- Reconcile tenant accounts and partner with Property Managers to resolve outstanding balances and billing discrepancies.
- Prepare annual Common Area Maintenance (CAM) and Real Estate Tax reconciliations, along with utility and other operating expense adjustments as needed.
- Maintain recurring tenant charges, process prorated charges, and implement annual CPI rent adjustments.
- Track lease expirations, coordinate final account reconciliations, and process security deposit refunds.
- Monitor certificates of insurance and collaborate with Property Managers to ensure compliance.
- Respond promptly to tenant and internal inquiries while providing excellent customer service.
- Support additional accounting and administrative functions as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
- Experience in accounts receivable, lease administration, property management, or commercial real estate is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer service experience is a plus.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
