A growing specialty insurance organization is seeking an experienced Property & Casualty Underwriter to join their team. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a meaningful portfolio, work directly with banks, credit unions, agents, and brokers, and apply traditional P&C underwriting expertise to a specialized and highly visible book of business.

This role supports an insurance portfolio serving regional banks and credit unions across the U.S. The underwriter will evaluate and manage a portfolio with a significant amount of high-touch underwriting and direct interaction with agents, brokers, and clients.

The business focuses primarily on property and auto risks associated with lending portfolios, including residential property, smaller commercial properties, personal auto, commercial auto, trucks, equipment, RVs, trailers, and related exposures.

This is particularly well suited for an underwriter who understands how to evaluate property and/or auto risk and wants to bring that experience into a specialty environment.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate has underwriting experience in P&C, specialty insurance, lender-placed insurance, or a closely related discipline.

Relevant backgrounds may include:

• Property underwriting, particularly residential and small commercial property

• Personal auto or related auto underwriting

• Commercial P&C underwriting

• Mortgage-related underwriting

• Specialty insurance

• Lender-placed insurance or similar financial-institution-focused insurance programs

Strong foundational underwriting experience can translate well into the role.
