Why You’ll Love This Role -
As a Lead Commercial Technician, you’ll play a key role in managing on-site mitigation work for large-scale water and fire losses. You’ll guide field crews, ensure work meets company standards, and take part in restoring commercial and major-loss properties. This is a hands-on leadership position with travel opportunities for post-disaster response - typically ranging from one week to one month at a time as needed. Company vehicle, lodging, and transportation are fully provided during travel assignments.
Shift: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM, with required on-call rotation and travel availability.
What the Job Looks Like – Key Responsibilities
Lead and assist with water and fire mitigation projects in commercial settings.
Perform hands-on work including water extraction, demolition, debris removal, and cleanup.
Set up, monitor, and document drying and air filtration equipment.
Coordinate daily work with supervisors and ensure projects stay on schedule.
Coach and train technicians, ensuring safety and quality compliance.
Communicate effectively with customers, project managers, and teammates.
Accurately document all work performed through mobile software and job tracking systems.
Travel to affected areas for disaster response assignments (required).
Maintain clean, organized job sites and a professional company image.
Who you Are – Ideal Candidate
Experienced in commercial water and fire mitigation (2+ years preferred).
Confident leading a small crew and maintaining high job quality.
Organized, dependable, and proactive problem solver.
Calm under pressure and able to communicate clearly with clients and teammates.
Safety-minded and follows established company protocols.
Willing and able to travel for extended assignments as part of disaster recovery work.
What We Require – Must Haves
Previous experience in restoration, mitigation, or construction (water/fire experience required).
Must be able to pass a background check going back to age 18 and a pre-employment drug screening.
Must have a valid Oregon Driver’s License with a clean driving record for the past 5 years.
Must be able and willing to travel for post-disaster recovery work for up to one month at a time.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions
Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 50+ lbs.
Must be able to wear respirators and other PPE as required.
May need to climb ladders and access crawlspaces, attics, or confined spaces.
Work in both indoor and outdoor disaster environments.
Standing, bending, and walking for extended periods is required.
