  • Responsibilities

    Objective of the position:

    Completing tasks and activities that keep furniture, fixtures, equipment, infrastructure, grounds, vehicles, spaces and structures in proper operating condition in a routine, scheduled or anticipated fashion to prevent failure and/or degradation. These activities do not typically involve a change in systems, spaces or uses.

    Competencies and Qualifications required:

    Able to operate hand and power tools, competency in reading; writing; math; detail oriented; comfortable working at a consistent pace; performing repetitive tasks; reporting to supervisor; working around and with other staff; working alone; familiar with computer programs such as those found in Microsoft Office.

    Essential job functions:

    1. Complete repair and request system tasks and keeping staff updated as to their status.

    2. Maintain a vehicle fleet through inspections, hands on and contract repairs.

    3.Complete recurring tasks that support operational systems such as recycling, safety checks, boilers,

    inspections, elevators, pump house inspections, household services, alarm systems, etc.

    4. Execute summer and winter common area management tasks.

    5. Assisting with project based activities.

    6. After business hours emergency response and weekend coverage.

    7. Teaming with and provide coverage for other department staff.

    8. Cross departmental cooperation and mission support.

    9. Snow Removal

    Physical Requirements of Position:

    Able to perform a variety of physical tasks on a daily basis associated with the work of Property Manager including but not limited to the ability of bending, crouching, kneeling, crawling, sitting, standing, standing with movement, walking, climbing stairs, and ladders; to frequently lift up to 50 pounds of weight from the floor to above the shoulders; ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds a distance of up to 600 feet; to occasional lift and carry up to 80 pounds; to push or pull up to 200 pounds using an appliance dolly; to move objects from one floor to another; ability to reach above shoulder height; has the normal range of vision, hearing and speech; to drive vehicles up to 8 hours per day; ability to use both hands and exhibit fine motor skills; to wear protective equipment such work gloves, safety glasses, ear and eye protection, dust masks.
