    We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper skilled in property management for rental properties in Philadelphia, PA. Join our well-established company with a 40-year legacy. Key Responsibilities: • Manage finances for a portfolio of commercial and residential rental properties. • Monitor property income and expenses, including rent, late fees, and utility bills. • Process payables, such as taxes, mortgage payments, and vendor invoices, using specialized software (Appfolio). • Process receivables using the same specialized software (Appfolio). We are looking for a meticulous and well-organized person to join our team. You will manage property expenses and handle tenant payments. Moreover, you will deliver excellent customer service to property owners and tenants by addressing their daily concerns. This role provides stability and a friendly, supportive work environment. Please note: This is not a remote job. Responsibilities: • Manage and oversee the financial operations for a diverse portfolio of commercial and residential properties. • Track and document property income and expenses to ensure accuracy and promptness in all transactions. • Manage accounts payable by processing vendor invoices, taxes, and mortgage payments using Appfolio. • Oversee accounts receivable to ensure timely collection of rent, late fees, and utility bills using Appfolio. • Provide exceptional customer service to property owners and tenants, addressing their financial inquiries promptly. • Prepare and present monthly financial reports to stakeholders, providing clear insights into property performance. • Work together with property managers to ensure that financial strategies support the operational goals and objectives. Qualifications: • Experience with AppFolio or similar systems, along with proficiency in key accounting software, is essential for this position. • We seek candidates who demonstrate attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and flexibility. Prior experience in bookkeeping, property management, management accounting, or similar fields is preferred. • Essential skills for this role include excellent time management, effective problem-solving skills, and clear communication. • Knowledge of Google Workspace, Microsoft Word, and Excel, as well as property management software, is beneficial. • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced industry is crucial. • Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with residents and staff. A friendly, professional phone manner is necessary. Real estate experience is a plus. Compensation: $45,000 - $52,000 yearly
