As a Property Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operations and overall success of our properties. In this role, you will be responsible for building-level performance and tenant relations across our properties in San Francisco. From promptly addressing tenant requests to implementing cost-saving measures, your contributions will directly contribute to the success and growth of our organization. Additionally, you will collaborate with various teams, including the Accounts Receivable Property Accountant, Asset Manager, and Leasing Team, to achieve our goals and maintain compliance with relevant regulations.

    Responsibilities:

    Respond promptly and effectively to tenant requests and inquiries, maintaining good tenant relations across all properties.

    Update and maintain accuracy of building rent rolls and tenant contact information in the Property Management Software.

    Approve and code invoices, assisting the Accounts Receivable Property Accountant in managing delinquencies.

    Identify expense reduction opportunities and implement cost-saving measures.

    Identify and report renovation opportunities to the Asset Manager for approval.

    Timely abatement of all Notices of Violation and thorough documentation of the process.

    Manage move-in/move-out functions according to Standard Operating Procedures.

    Oversee turnover work, including repairs, painting, final cleaning, floor plans, photos, and lock changes, ensuring completion within reporting goals.

    Assist the Maintenance Coordinator as needed.

    Ensure compliance with governing regulations, codes, and laws, as well as state and local authorities.

    Coordinate access for the Leasing Team during showings.

    Administer the day-to-day implementation of a standard operating procedural manual.

    Maintain timely and organized records.

    Attend and successfully complete advanced educational courses, seminars, and local professional activities.

    Perform other assigned duties as required.

    Complete Basecamp tasks within specified deadlines.

    Embrace the Kaizen philosophy of continuous improvement.

    Requirements:

    Active California Real Estate License (required to manage properties in CA)

    Minimum 2 years of experience as a residential property manager in California, overseeing multi-unit buildings

    Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and make decisions without constant supervision

    Strong conflict resolution and tenant relations skills — must be comfortable handling escalations professionally

    Creative problem-solver with the ability to think beyond the checklist to resolve operational issues

    Strong written and verbal communication skills — must be able to correspond clearly with tenants, vendors, and ownership

    Comfortable with tech tools and property management platform AppFolio

    Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (some site visits required)
