The Role This is a full-time, in-office position at our Austin, TX office. As a Property Research & Outreach Specialist, your job is focused and meaningful: research property records to identify the owners of specific homes, find the best way to reach them, and have a friendly, low-pressure conversation to see if they'd be open to a conversation about selling. This is not a high-pressure sales role. There are no cold call quotas designed to make you scramble. Your job is to be thorough, consistent, and professional — day in and day out. What You'll Be Doing Your day will have a clear rhythm and structure. You'll use your computer and various research tools to locate property owners and their contact information, then reach out by phone or, in some cases, in person to introduce Smooth Closing and gauge their interest. Much of the work is systematic and process-driven — you'll get good at it quickly and settle into a routine that you can own. You'll be working closely with our small, tight-knit team, and your contribution directly fuels the company's ability to close deals. Compensation & Schedule This is a salaried, full-time position with a competitive base pay. Responsibilities: What You’ll Actually Be Doing This role is a mix of research, strategy, problem-solving, and in-home appointments: You will: • Work from our office to research and locate homeowners on small, highly targeted lists • Strategize the best approach to reach each homeowner (this is not mass outreach) • Meet homeowners in person at their property to understand their situation • Present fair, win-win solutions and guide sellers through the process • Follow up consistently and persistently until you get a clear yes or no • Work closely with leadership and operations to get deals across the finish line This role rewards people who enjoy the hunt, can think independently, and don’t need constant supervision to perform at a high level. Qualifications: Experience Requirements • No real estate experience required • No sales experience required We care far more about drive, curiosity, and work ethic than your resume. If you’re hungry to learn and willing to be coached, we’ll teach you everything you need to succeed. Compensation: $60,000 - $80,000
