Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Proposal Process
- Review RFQ and customer technical requirements
- Request missing information from customer directly or through sales account manager
- Forward customer specification to engineering for review
- Develop RFQs for non Heller equipment quotes
- Vendor Quote Process (See Below)
- Process the project being quoted
- Create fixture layout
- Create time study
- Create process overview
- Create system layout
- Create machine configuration
- Support review of tolerance analysis and capability requirements
- Review and approve processing with proposal engineering manager
- Review processing with customer
- Update processing based on vendor quotes and customer
- Line up estimator and planner to quote and create schedule
- Create proposal TOC and distribute
- Initiate proposal package
- Approve estimate content
- Perform technical and commercial review of proposal document
- Make appropriate updates to proposal document
- Vendor Quote
- Determine proposal items to be quoted (automation, ancillary equipment, fixtures, tooling, etc.)
- Prepare appropriate RFQ documents and attachments
- Line up suppliers in order to properly quote proposal items.
- Coordinate with information with estimator purchasing manager
- Review technical content of vendor quotes
- Scheduling (Proposal)
- Complete and submit request for schedule to planner.
- Kickoff Process
- Perform technical match between Customer PO and Heller proposal
- Prepare “As Sold” proposal
- Copy applicable proposal documents to the new job folder
- Review IOC
- Participate in Technical Review

Education and Experience:
- Minimum 4 year technical degree.
- Minimum 5 years automotive and machine tool experience.
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Hard Skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Thorough understanding of Heller processes: Proposal, Kickoff and Vendor Quotation.
- GD & T
- Metrology (basis knowledge of materials)
- Cutting tool knowledge (feeds and speeds)

Physical Demands:

Work Environment:
- Hybrid role. Works in an office, Heller plant (Troy, MI) and at Customer site.
Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
