Our clietnt is seeking a skilled Government Proposal Writer for a temporary contract position from June to September 2025. As a key contributor to our Business Development team, you will support the creation of high-quality proposals for government agencies, focusing on technology, strategy, and design services. Your work will ensure proposals are competitive, compliant, and submitted on time, contributing to a high win rate in our government sector portfolio.
Proposal Writing & Editing
Develops original content and adapts existing materials for non-technical proposal sections (e.g., past performance, staffing plans, project management), aligning with RFx requirements and incorporating win themes to maximize evaluation scores.
Performs copy editing, proofreading, and “one voice” editing per proposal requirements and Forum One’s style guide, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and professional tone.
Assists with document layout and production for proposals and slide decks, delivering polished, evaluator-friendly submissions.
Proposal Coordination & Management
Manages the full lifecycle of RFx responses, from kickoff to submission, ensuring compliant and timely delivery by coordinating schedules, proposal team inputs, and review processes.
Evaluates RFx requirements to create essential proposal collateral, including templates, compliance matrices, and review processes.
Collaborates with subject matter experts to gather timely inputs and integrate them effectively into proposals.
Business Development Support
Assists in updating business development materials and resources to support proposal efforts.
Supports opportunity qualification by reviewing RFxs, researching clients and competitors, and drafting relevant questions to strengthen proposal positioning.
Provides ad hoc writing, editing, and research support for marketing materials, statements of work, and slide decks to aid business growth.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in government proposal writing and editing, preferably in technology, strategy, or design sectors.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and proposal management tools.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality work within the June–September 2025 contract period.
