Job Description
Instructional Designer Role for training within the collaboration and productivity platforms. • Partner with technical SME’s and PM’s to create monthly Support Ops training agenda, develop presentation/content and deliver to team. o Each month the Support Ops team (ITA’s, Service Desk, Tier 2 and Tier 3) will need continued education products we offer so they can support the change of policy, process or technology. o In the meeting the “trainer” will discuss the agenda and goal of meeting with the audience and introduce the presenters (technical SME and/or PM). o Content will include known issues and resolution steps, timelines, escalation paths, etc. • Develop job aids for all new products and services. o This includes one pagers, desk drops, top 5 tips and tricks, cheat sheets, etc. • Define training scope (in person or online), audience (managers or individual contributors), timelines, etc. for all business needs and releases. • Partner with internal AV team to schedule executive or product specific videos to help drive awareness and adoption. o Write video script content. o Partner with AV team on timelines and scheduling. o Partner with key stakeholders to gather approvals on video created before publishing. o Partner with 3rd party companies to gather fly in slides, external content or graphics and any banners or needs prior to recording. o Submit intake for AV team to assign resources for video recording. • Become subject matter expert for products the team is releasing. o This includes partnering with PM and Engineers while testing to understand employee impact and learn future state. • Partner with internal teams to deliver one off requests for group/team training. o As teams/groups reach out for individual training, the “trainer” will partner with the group contact to understand request and how to accommodate their need. • Partner with Microsoft and other 3rd party companies to track employee requests and needs for training. • Create training schedule and roadmap and make visible to all employees. • Attends project meetings with core project team Trainer Skills and Qualifications: Presentation Skills ü 5+ years Project Management ü Experience writing and delivering training curriculum to large audiences ü Building and Maintaining Relationships ü Technical Passion and Drive ü Strategic Thinking ü Customer Service ü Self-Confidence ü Dealing with ambiguity ü Knowledge of Office 365 ü Basic HTML and Flash programming knowledge ü Visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator) ü Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio and video scriptsü
