    Providence Staffing’s client is seeking a Senior Principal Architect Position. This position is remote. The Senior Principal Architect candidate selected requires DOD avionics hardware systems architecture experience. Successful candidates will have hardware systems architecture experience as well as an electronic module design and/or FPGA design background. The selected candidate may also be asked to document security on both new and fielded information systems or provide accreditation/certification evaluation and test support to ensure all technical security features are considered and functioning properly.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with integrated product team (SW, HW, Mechanical, Cyber, Manufacturing, Information Assurance)
    • Develop hardware architecture for ruggedized avionics computers
    • Perform trade studies comparing a variety of technologies
    • Serve as lead technical contributor on multiple acquisition proposal teams
    • Perform cost estimations
    • Provide mentoring to other (less senior) architects
    • Serve as the technical lead for a team of 6-20 engineers
    • Exercise creative thinking and ideation to advance our business performance
    • Deliver innovative, flexible, integrated solutions to meet customers changing business needs
    • Support and engage in programs, projects and practices behind the client’s culture and strategy, and comply with all policies and procedures
    • Follow industry and department trends and developments to ensure client’s services are consistent with, and/or superior to, industry best practices

     Requirements and Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent) plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
    • DoD Active Secret Security Clearance.
    • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
