    Our award-winning client is seeking a Trusts & Estates Attorney to join their team. Dynamic Estate Planning Attorney providing expert legal guidance to clients in navigating estate planning intricacies, ensuring asset protection and efficiency. Responsibilities encompass comprehensive counsel on elder law, estate planning, document preparation, representation in probate, interpretation of laws, and collaborative case management, with a commitment to staying current on legal developments and fostering strong client relationships.

    Responsibilities:


    • As an Estate Planning Attorney, you will be instrumental in providing expert legal advice to clients, guiding them through the intricacies of estate planning, and ensuring the safeguarding and efficient management of their assets.

    • Your responsibilities will include offering comprehensive legal counsel on elder law, estate planning, and administration, with a focus on preparing and reviewing essential legal documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and other estate planning instruments.

    • In addition, you will represent clients in probate and estate administration proceedings, interpret relevant laws, rulings, and regulations, and assist individuals and businesses in understanding and navigating Medicaid eligibility and application processes. Collaboration with a team of attorneys and legal staff is essential, and you will manage individual caseloads while staying abreast of the latest legal developments and changes in elder law, estate planning, and Medicaid rules.

    • Building and maintaining strong client relationships is a key aspect of this role, involving regular updates and the delivery of excellent customer service.

    Required Qualifications:


    • Expertise in elder law, estate planning, and administration.

    • Deep understanding of New York State Bar and Medicaid requirements.

    • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in the legal industry, specifically in elder law and estate planning.

    • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

    • Extensive knowledge of Medicaid eligibility and application processes.

    • Proven track record in estate administration.

    • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

    • Ability to interpret complex laws and regulations.
