Summary:
Our award-winning client is seeking a Field Service Technician to join their team! Our client is searching for an experienced Field Service Technician to play a key role in maintaining and optimizing our facility. You'll be responsible for troubleshooting equipment issues, overseeing maintenance schedules, and leading a team of technicians.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
Manage and develop Valway Engineering Services associates.
Schedule maintenance for process and material handling equipment.
Analyze downtime events and implement corrective actions.
Maintain spare part inventory to prevent production disruptions.
Track and document associate performance (safety, quality, productivity, attendance).
Oversee labor costs, including training, overtime, and premiums.
Ensure equipment is maintained by qualified and properly trained associates.
Develop and maintain training records for direct reports.
Schedule Valway engineering and maintenance personnel to meet production demands.
Lead daily team maintenance activities, ensuring equipment meets operating standards.
Motivate and engage Engineering Services associates and technicians.
Assist with equipment acquisition and installation, staying within budget.
Monitor contractor safety program adherence.
Oversee utility functions and work to reduce utility costs.
Manage supply cost centers, aiming to reduce supply expenses.
Ensure equipment meets environmental and regulatory permit requirements.
Collaborate with the Valway ES Leader on plant facilities maintenance and repairs.
Required Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in a related field or 5+ years of Engineering Services experience (fabric finishing preferred).
Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Financial acumen and business sense.
Supervisory experience and ability to provide constructive feedback.
