    Summary:

    Our award winning client is currently hiring for a Vice President, Tax Policy & Compliance with High Net Worth (HNW) Trusts.

    Responsibilities:

    This role is responsible for handling the more complex and complicated financial planning, trust tax and estate, gift tax, and compliance questions from our clients associates.

    • Keep up-to-date on latest Financial Planning developments.
    • Keep up-to-date on latest Trust Compliance developments.
    • Keep up-to-date on latest technical Tax developments.
    • Answer the more complicated trust income tax and estate planning questions, as well as general income tax questions as time permits.
    • Review trust documents for technical accuracy. In addition, review form of ownership/beneficiary designations to ensure dispositive objectives are met.
    • Participate in client and attorney teleconferences to explain trust and estate planning strategies.
    • Update technical materials, including client-facing Insight Memo’s and internally-directed Technical Advisory and Training Memos.
    • Create training materials for on-site training seminars and teleconferences and conduct Advisor training.
    • Conduct training sessions for various other departments.

    Required Skills and Experience:

    • 5+ years of Tax Policy and Trust Compliance experience.
    • JD degree required.
    • Experience at a Law firm helpful but not required (Large Accounting firms, High Net Worth Boutique Accounting firms, and Family offices also applicable).
    • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or Certified Public Accountant designation would be helpful.
    • Existing knowledge base of basic and intermediate level estate and gift tax planning strategies.
    • Excellent writing/communication skills.
    • Detail-oriented/organizational skills.
    • Above average analytical skills.
    • Team player.
