Summary:
Leading global manufacturer of Engineered Access Hardware for the Automotive industry, with manufacturing and engineering facilities in the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific regions looking to add a Territory Salesperson to the team.
The Michigan Territory Salesperson will develop new business across the state, as well as into Northern Ohio. This role builds trusted and strong relationships with the customers, and ensures the organization is a valued partner to assist in the growth of their businesses.
Responsibilities:
This individual sells into Design Engineers, Purchasing, Engineering Managers, and others as appropriate, at the customer location to ensure that we offer relevant design solutions that support the customer's growth and future product development. The Territory Salespersons is the liaison with the client and represents the client's needs with internal departments such as Customer Service, Design Engineers, Production, Operations and Supply Chain.
Develop new relationships with key contacts including senior level individuals, identify and target new business opportunities and document all pertinent activity in Salesforce.com (SFDC).
Meet or exceed established market share and sales revenue performance targets
Develop and implement an annual strategic business plan in accordance with management’s goals and objectives
Use the CRM daily to plan, document and execute pertinent business activities (i.e., meetings, telephone conversations, quotes, sample requests, etc.) Use SFDC Opportunity manager to characterize and communicate key account opportunities and prepare periodic forecast updates. At a minimum, all existing and high and medium probability business opportunities must be captured and detailed. Enter and keep updated a minimum of 80% of Key Account business in SFDC opportunity manager (Goal package = 80%)
Communicate marketplace activity to Product and Industry management personnel. Identify “value enablers” for all designated Key Accounts and prepare proposals as required.
Required Skills and Experience:
3 - 14 years of Territory Sales experience
2+ years of automotive sales experience
Asian auto market sales experience needed/required!
Strong sales hunting experience
OEM and Tier 1 manufacturing sales experience
Experience selling to Engineers
Technical sales experience
Excellent sales ability, communication, presentation and listening skills
Strong skills in relationship building, collaboration and teamwork required
Ability to work independently and demonstrate high level of initiative
Bachelor's degree or higher
